Labé is a mother-daughter business that was born out of a shared passion for fashion and creation. With years of experience in front of the camera, we have used our shared knowledge and love of clothing to create a sustainable label. We believe that we can merge high-fashion with environmentally friendly fashion. At Labé, we want to inspire women to dress confidently and step into their own style. Sustainability
High quality fabrics are our utmost focus. Our garments are made exclusively of natural fibers personally sourced from Prato, Italy, as we frequently visit the fabric manufacturing sites to fully be able to stand behind our product and nurture the relationships with our suppliers. The fabric designs are unique, patented creations, which are designed by us or in collaboration with graphic designers close to our heart. We keep our collections small, to ensure that there are no leftover stocks as we do not want to add to the already massive excess in clothing and thus landfill.
Materials
The production facility is in Steiermark as local, ethical and sustainable production is of utmost importance. We believe that only happy people can create happy clothes that are meant to be worn with nothing but love. Additionally, the proximity to the sight allows us to frequently visit and maintain a close knit relationship with everyone involved in the process of manufacturing. We are lucky enough to be able to work with JMB Fashion, the last operating tailoring sight in Austria, kept afloat by 42 beautiful seamstresses. It is crucial to us to support this local sewing factory as the textile industry is undergoing a dramatic change and the majority of the clothing industry has left Austria and emigrated from Europe. JMB Fashion is a pioneer in sustainable production and highlights innovation without forgetting their roots in tradition, the intangible heritage built up over decades and the skills passed on from one generation of employees to the next.
